Cat's Mantra

Cat's Mantra

Heaven and earth were born with me, and the ten thousand things are one with me.
Lao Tzu · Ancient Chinese philosopher and writer Tao Te Ching

In the Darwin’s Cat Universe, cats are intelligent beings, traveling across the cosmos. Their ancestors were cats, long time ago, but they evolved into something more advanced. Some cats live in huge space stations, others are tireless wanderers seeking knowledge.

A tale begins...:

At the dawn of the "Age of Spreading", dozens of brave cats left their mother planet and ventured into the vast, unknown reaches of Space.

The virgin galaxy lay silent, untouched by the reason or intelligence.

And in that silence, the "Anthem of Galactic Explorers" was born, remembered through the ages as the "Cat’s Mantra".

We believe in reason
And the common sense
They are prerequisites
To live in the universe

We’re looking for new knowledge
And beings who need help
We spread our wisdom everywhere
Trying to prevent regress

Space and time unlimited
Like our thirst to know
We cross the space in the spaceships
Looking for the truth

Wonders of the strange worlds
Call us to think clear
And Leave at home stupidity,
Laziness and fear

A galactic explorer's mantra, in rock form.

"Cat's Mantra" is a largely instrumental rock piece for the kind of traveler whose home is the road itself. The few sung lines are a creed; the rest is the slow, unstoppable feeling of going on — because for some, there has never been another way.
