Darwin's Cat Music Band
115,000 years ago a civilization that flourished on Earth had to improve itself and leave the planet. It grew its starships and settled the nearest sector of the galaxy. Earth was left to the Neanderthals and Sapiens.
Thousands of years passed. Tens of thousands. Neanderthals died out. Sapiens haven’t, yet.
One of those who departed — by chance, a cat — came back to see what’s going on here. From him we learned a thing or two. The honor of telling the story of the galactic cat civilization fell to us — Darwin’s Cat, an art-rock project from Berlin.
We, Sapiens, are not the most musical species — unlike whales and nightingales. Music was invented before us. Possibly by birds — 50 million years before primates appeared.
A whale’s song cannot be retold in words — and the story of the galactic civilization cannot be told without music.
Fresh signals: Dark Purple Heaven, Eleven Light Years, Cat’s Mantra.
