Felitronics Amps
We are Darwin’s Cat, musicians and engineers. We put our favourite guitar sounds into the Felitronics plugins, and we give them away completely free. They all run on NAM A2, the latest generation of Neural Amp Modeler networks, and we captured them from our own units. Every one of them also has the IRs of our own Orange PPC212V cabinet.
Amp sims
-
CatpitAmp: a Soldano X88-IR amp sim (the sound of the legendary SLO-100 line) in a starship cockpit.
-
RedPawAmp: a Friedman IR-X amp sim (a tube BE-100 in pedal format) in the cockpit of a Mars rover.
-
FrostPawAmp: the Two Notes ReVolt Guitar in the cockpit of a rover on an icy moon of Jupiter.
-
AmberPawAmp: three Victory V4 preamps (The Copper, The Sheriff and The Kraken) in the cockpit of a helicopter over Titan.
And OrbitAmp brings them all together in one plugin, without cockpits and landscapes: every NAM pack and every IR of the family, plus extra features. The sound changes without changing the plugin.
Free and open source
Each one runs as a free guitar plugin in VST3, AU and CLAP, and as a standalone app for Windows, macOS and Linux. Free means free: no ads, no trials, no subscriptions, no sign-up. And it will stay that way. It is open source: the code is on GitHub under the AGPL.
All the NAM captures the plugins play can also be downloaded on their own, as .nam files for your NAM plugin or NAM-compatible pedal: Darwin’s Cat NAM packs.
We hope you will love these sounds and that they help you make something great. We stand for a beautiful and kind world, and this is our contribution to making it better.
Live long and prosper (Spock). Be happy, and don’t buy "desktop" and "smart" amps or "expensive processors"!
